Here we are once again,
Yet another 100 block rule issue... I have said this before and I will say it again, the 100 block rule is the most undefined rule there is. I am being trampled by mods telling me that we must move our wall back because it is interfering with a claimed forest. And so I did, 2 hours later we got the wall removed and relocated 30-40 blocks back. No no, 30-40 blocks is not enough. Our beautiful wall is harming the untouched claimed forest! If this was such a big issue, why wasn't Agent_Snail ever addressed about this when he did his base. This is obviously to irritate us. Seriously, I am not removing our beautiful south side district because it is to close to a forest which has NO building structures.
Here is what needs to be done:
If someone has an issue with a claim or build near their land, they MUST have a structure that explains the interference - Mods have no way of telling when a claim was created. I have proof of this from several instances where mods were only able to rely on the block placement in the claim. There is NO reason that we should be putting our wall back 100 blocks due to a forest claim that mods can't even justify if it was claimed, expanded. There is no potential at that forest, Cathal will never build there and its all to irritate us more using the rule.
Again, this is being done solely to aggravate the Capital. That forest claim will never be dealt with and we are actually doing the wall so this kind of stuff wont be happening in the future. Please read this suggestion, the 100 block rule needs some serious refining.

Just because on the surface it looks untouched does not mean that underneath, the claim owner hasn't built something. Some players build massive underground bases which leaves the top looking untouched. They don't have to justify why they have the land or what they do with it, same as you don't have to justify why you built a city.
Secondly, how you can say 100 blocks is the most undefined rule. Its only because some players don't say anything when someone else is near by. 100 Blocks means that. Not 30 or 40.
In regards the Cathal... He's had that claim since the restart the server had back in April LAST YEAR!!! And as far as I know, Cathal And Snail have had a discussion about his claim and that is between them two.
Finally you don't have a choice. If the rule is used and you don't move it, It will be moved, any resources will be lost and not returned and if needs be a punishment made.

If I may add, a main thing that really plays a role in this is claim expansion: mods can't check it, and I'm pretty sure Cathal has expanded his claim since reporting and having us move the wall, but I can't verify this with screen shots as I don'y have any. And to INFlNITY, I showed you guys where the line royster made was to relocate the wall to-why did you only do 30-40 blocks? EDIT: In fact I showed you both the X and the Z that those two parts of the wall needs to be moved to-I thought I could trust you guys when I logged off last night... Also, there is a claim in the way of the X coordinates to relocate, a player by the name of KawaiiBenjy owns it and is breaking the 100 block rule. If a moderator could deal with the claim, that'd be great.

I usually just ignore these threads, however, there's one hole in your logic. If all of their base is underground, then they shouldn't see a wall above ground, since they'll be spending all of their time underground. Once they build above ground, then they have a case...

The case is not about that as much as it is wanting to expand. If you claim right up to someone they can not expand

Thank you Thomas, I was going to say the exact same thing.
Although cathal doesnt have a base under that 100k claimed forest, if he did then the wall wouldn't be a problem. He wouldn't even see it and therefore, brings me to my point. There should be a legit visual reason to apply the 100 block rule!
Racecar I remember you saying something about an X coordinate in chat but I wasn't aware that you and Roy made out a new border for the wall.

It shouldn't of been an issue as there is nothing built on that claim. Anyways, we are moving the wall. Its funny that we can't get rid of the claims around our walls like cathal can. Mods dont have "logs" to trace back yet they are forcing us to move this wall with no logs of cathals claim either. Alright, the wall be removed. I dont want to argue anymore, its ridiculous and im never going to win this battle against the staff team.

Oh my god stop your whining, just deal with it. If you didn't want this to happen maybe you shoulda built the capitol somewhere that wasn't going to end up bordering someone else's claim

The rule doesn't NEED definition, its straight forward, do not build within 100 blocks of a persons claim regardless of if they are using it or not, you are just upset because you all are having trouble following said rule for some reason even though you've had trouble with it before. I don't understand how thick of a skull you must have to not understand the very simple and very clear rule of DON'T BUILD WITHIN 100 BLOCKS OF SOMEONE. Its literally that simple! Even if his base is underground what if he wants to build something new in his underground base and have it claimed so it doesn't get griefed. If you guys have SUCH a problem and feel the need to cry and moan every time this comes up MOVE YOUR TOWN, use random warp, or find a place that's barren/has no claims at one of the warps and claim what you need and start moving. This seems like a constant problem with you folks, every time you break a rule its suddenly "unfair". Either grow up and deal with it, or move your town so you don't have to and then you all can spare everyone the whining. Edit: Also if you want claim expansion logging, go here: github.com/TechFortress/GriefPreventionIn fact here I've made the suggestion for you, here's the link to it: github.com/TechFortress/GriefPrevention/issues/84Edit2: Looks like my suggestion is set to be put in on Milestone 20 meaning it is coming soon and depending on when it comes out and when schaum updates the plugin to that version, mods WILL then be able to check when the last expansion was. And open an "issue" and tag it suggestion.
Ikith out.

Starting around 5k blocks from spawn is already a bad idea, back when there's no random TP and only a few biome warp, players who doesn't vote will travel from spawn to search for land. That's why you can find that there's many abandoned buildings around Capital because of claim expire/removed.

Ikith out. I would prefer that you didn't tell us that we cry and moan every time something such as this occurs, and a I would like to also point out this is the only time it has occured, and please don't tell us to relocate our town, as if you were ever there, you might understand why that is a completely inconcievable task at best. As for why our town is close to spawn, we started building in June of 2016, after using random warp to find a suitable area. At the time, we were surrounded by dense forest and didn't have elytras to fly around. When we began building, Cathal's claims were quite far away, and we ha dno knowledge of them. As well as that, we also started building when a few thousand blocks from spawn wasn't as crowded as it is now. And we have ready grown up and dealt with it, or at least I thought we had when I logged off at night on the 11th. Well, things there didn't go as planned...

We used random warp to find a place to build; at the time, we were unaware of its close proximity to spawn.
