Full In-Game Name: RhyanFox Ban Reason (As shown on the ban screen): Reached 4 warnings (Clover Petal: Character spam *Twice non consecutively* Shadow_EXE improperly using /helpop, CloverPetal: Profanity on signs) Person Who Banned You: CloverPetal Length of Ban: 2 Days Appeal: The last infraction was regarding a sign i made deep in my chest storage area that said *---- Set* in regards to a set of armor that was poorly made, i feel the moderator could have pm'd me in game and asked me to change it rather than resorting to banning me, i hope you feel the same and un-ban me. thank you for your time ~ RhyanFox

Hello RhyanFox thank you for appealing. The way our warning system works is that once a player reaches 4 warnings, the console automatically tempbans that player for 2 days. You already had 3 warnings before you made the sign. The fourth warning, as you've stated, was for swearing on a sign, which led to your ban. You'll have to wait it out.

I understand the whole “not commenting on ban appeals” but I feel like I can contribute to this greatly. Quite a while ago, months upon months, I had made an inappropriate sign to a friend (not specifically profanity, but still regarded as inappropriate) and was told by a staff member to remove it, which I promptly did. My point is that in both my and rhyans circumstance, we had placed those signs in a secluded area, and both were innapropriate. Why should he receive a warning and thus a ban for it, while I was just told to remove it? Different staff handled the situations is why.
There are 3 ways that he would have, to me, deserved the warning: 1. The exessity of innapropriateness. E.g racism. That clearly is not the case. 2. It was posted in a public area. He stated he posted it in his own personal chest room, private. So that’s out of the equation. 3. His previous warnings. None of his previous warnings had to do with inappropriate signs, or related issues.
Also want to point out that staff get sign logs. Most likely the reason how they found out about your sign.
As to not trash the appeal, I’ll discuss this with staff in PM.

While players may think their base is secure, I would hazard a guess that 99% are not. The only way to prevent another player from getting into your base is to have a 9 block thick wall on all aides, top and bottom unless you are at bedrock. This is to prevent players from chorus fruiting into your base. Since I doubt RhyanFox made his walls 9 blocks thick it means that anyone could chorus fruit into his base and see that sign. So technically it was not safe from younger players eyes.
Swear words are swear words no matter if they are said in chat, posted on a sign or spelled out with blocks. No swearing means no swearing in any form anywhere.

Hello. After further discussion, we've decided to unban you. I apologize for not msging you first before warning you and for the inconvenience. Though keep in mind that being polite throughout the appeal might get you a quicker response. Also please be sure to read the rules on forums and also the public chat rules. Other than that, welcome back!
