Ban Reason:"afk'ing at spawners."
Person Who Banned You:roott
Length of Ban:1 day, 23 hours, 58 minutes remaining
Appeal:
When I don't feel like building much, I go semi-afk and watch Netflix while grinding at a spawner/spawners. I'm watching an interesting part of a show for not really even 10 minutes, and then I switch windows to grind the mobs which have built up and find myself banned one minute ago for afk'ing near spawners? I know I've been kicked for afk'ing near a spawner, but that's just because I'm watching an interesting part of a show, or I get distracted doing something else and completely forget about grinding, and then leave without moving. To be honest, it's pretty boring to just stare at a screen and wait for mobs to build up.
I would like to be unbanned because I wasn't fully afk. If I had been sitting at the spawner for a full 30 minutes, then sure ban me. I was just watching some Netflix while grinding. Also doesn't Minecraft automatically kill mobs when a number of mobs go over the chunk limit? The mobs don't build up very much. I don't really even drop frames when I am at my spawner.
Also, where in the rules does it say that you can't afk near spawners?
4. No afk or lag machines - A mob grinder isn't a lag machine... As said below, minecraft automatically kills mobs once they reach a certain chunk limit.
- Please keep 40 entities or below per chunk. -Minecraft automatically kills mobs once they reach a certain chunk limit. (Not sure what the chunk limit says) - This includes large mob farms and afk pools (Gold farms are not allowed) - Any automatic killing mechanisms aren't allowed - I wasn't even using an afk machine - Any automatic redstone machines are also prohibited

I wasn't online at the time of the ban, but I'd still like to point out that AFK-ing, even if for a 10-ish minutes, at a spawner will cause the entity cap to kill monsters, effectively automatically yielding the AFKer it's drops.
IMO, getting AFK mob drops (fish, specially, since it can be sold at Docks for diamonds) is an offense worse than high amounts of entities.
That said, the ban wouldn't have been carried out without multiple attempts to contact you, over a significant time span.
I'd be pretty certain root tried talking to you for some time before discussing the matter with other moderators, and, after some time of discussion, the punishment was carried out.
All these time delays mean you probably didn't interact with the game for quite some time.

Thomas
Two Moderators witnessed you clearly AFK at a spawner. The problem is Thomas, this isn't the 1st time you've done it. Multiple mods have told you to stop doing this including myself and your history clearly shows you have been officially warned about it multiple times. On this occasion, there were more then 60 entities in the area. So as you have clearly stated a rule in your appeal, you're breaking rule 4 which says to keep entities under 40 per chunk.
You clearly admit in your appeal you have been kicked for AFK'ing at a spawner before so it shouldn't come as a surprise to find out you have been banned. You constantly keep doing this and a ban seems to be the only course of action to take. I would advise you take these next 2 days off to think about this.

I've even talked to you in game about this. Yet, not once did you willingly approach me about this after you were warned/kicked. You just kept on doing it. Anyway, here are the main reasons I banned you: 1.) Yes, Minecraft does autokill mobs after a certain limit. But you allowed the number of mob spawns to surpass this limit, and so, the game started to autokill. As seen in the rules: - Any automatic killing mechanisms aren't allowed. This includes the use of the maxEntityCramming gamerule to automatically kill mobs. 2.) The mobs you were spawning were passive, meaning that they wouldn't despawn even if the chunk was unloaded. Which means if you got kicked for the afk limit, you could just log back in and all of your mobs would be waiting for you. 3.) I've seen the spawner you use, and it's not slow at all. Other players spend hours manually grinding for items. 4.) The kill chamber your spawner uses is on two different chunks. Meaning that you could effectively stack 60 mobs into one location (if we are talking in conjunction with the gamerule). Even if this does not slow down the frames on your computer, it does cause some stress on the server. Also, even if you say you were semi-afk, we have no way to prove that.

All these time delays mean you probably didn't interact with the game for quite some time. The amount of fish I get from polar bears being automatically killed isn't that much at all. I get more from using my grinding sword with looting three. And, to be honest, I don't really sell the fish at the docks warp. I just store it and sell it only if I dearly need diamonds. I am saving it up in case there is another fish event, where I may sell it or use it. Without using looting three, the mobs don't drop very much, so it's not worth very much. Also, to be honest roott has only talked to me once. (I believe) This was a ~month ago. I got kicked a few times a ~month ago, when as I said above, I forgot about. I haven't been kicked much recently, but then last night when I went to sleep because it was late, my brain wasn't functioning properly so I forgot I was near a spawner. I got kicked, and in the morning I saw it. I tried not to afk near spawners today, and then when I was grinding while watching Netflix I found myself banned.

Thomas.
You cannot appeal any ban shorter than 4 days. You should know this. The ban will stay and this will now be locked.

It's true that I've talked to you about this about a month ago. However, I also told you that time that the next time you do this will result in a kick. Since then, I've kicked you three times. Which is two more times than I should have, actually. You showed no signs of stopping this behavior, which is why I banned you.
In regards to your other post, I'm slightly confused. In one sentence you state you don't use the fish to gain diamonds but in another sentence you state that you do. In small amounts or not, you are still automatically gaining a number of fish when going AFK, which isn't allowed.
Other reasons for the ban are mentioned above in my earlier post. Also, Roy's correct in his statement that only bans longer than 4 days can actually be appealed for.
